New Horizons provides outpatient treatment for adults (19+) living with substance use disorders. With locations in Huntsville and Cullman, this program offers both daytime and evening options to make care more accessible. Services combine individual counseling, group therapy, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that help individuals stabilize, gain skills, and move toward long-term recovery.

Outpatient Substance Use Services

Comprehensive Assessment
Each participant begins with a thorough evaluation to determine needs, set recovery goals, and create a personalized treatment plan.
Individual & Group Counseling
One-on-one therapy and peer group sessions help clients build coping skills, manage triggers, and strengthen support systems.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Structured day or evening sessions provide focused, evidence-based treatment several times per week—offering a higher level of care while maintaining life and work responsibilities.
Continuing Care & Case Management
After completing treatment, clients have access to continuing-care groups, case management, and coordination with psychiatric or inpatient care as needed.
Priority Admission
Priority is given to pregnant women, women with dependent children, and people who inject drugs.
