At the Nova Center, care goes beyond appointments—it’s about helping children, teens, and families discover hope and build brighter futures. Our team provides a full range of services to youth from pre-k through grade 12 in one welcoming place, combining counseling, medical support, prevention programs, and specialized resources that meet young people where they are. Whether your family needs early intervention, ongoing therapy, or support during a crisis, Nova Center is here to walk alongside you.

Services Provided at Nova Center for Youth and Family

The Nova Center for Youth and Family provides child and adolescent services in individual, group, and school-based settings. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. WellStone accepts most forms of insurance including Medicaid.

Summer Programs

Engaging activities and group programs during the summer months that build skills, confidence, and healthy connections.

Juvenile Court Services

Counseling and support for youth referred through the juvenile justice system, helping them build stability and positive life skills.

For everything from mental health and substance use treatment programs to crisis stabilization and outreach services, WellStone makes it easy to find the right care at the right time. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. We accept most forms of insurance, including Medicaid, Tricare, and select Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama plans.

Emergency Care for Youth in Crisis

Sometimes young people need immediate, around-the-clock support. WellStone’s Emergency Services Pediatric Unit —the first of its kind in Alabama—offers 24/7 crisis stabilization for children and adolescents ages 12–18. Located in Huntsville, this dedicated unit provides safe, compassionate care when urgent help is needed most—ensuring families don’t have to face a crisis alone.
