Access to Care for Children and Adolescents

To access services for children and adolescents 18 years of age or younger, contact the Nova Center for Youth & Family.

Customer Service Representatives will conduct a telephone screening that will take about 10 minutes to complete and will schedule you for an assessment with a mental health professional. Assessments are typically available within two weeks and referral to a psychiatrist for a medication evaluation will be completed if needed at the time of your assessment. Based on the assessment, an individualized plan of care will be developed that includes a mutually agreed upon approach to treatment.

Should you be experiencing a behavioral health emergency, you can visit the Nova Center offices in Huntsville or Cullman to be seen by a mental health professional for an unscheduled emergency assessment.
