Residential treatment is available for adults 19 years of age and older at WellStone. Various levels of care are available at multiple sites across the area, including:

 

Supported Apartments are available at scattered sites across the area. Living arrangements are integrated in the community and are available for individuals to live alone or with a roommate. WellStone outreach workers are available as needed to assist with issues related to the management of resident’s behavioral health conditions and make regular home visits to support successful independent living.

Group Homes are available across the area in both urban and rural settings. Living arrangements are staffed with WellStone clinical support personnel on a 24/7/365 basis to assist with issues related to the management of resident’s behavioral health conditions and to help them learn the basic skills needed to move to more independent living situations. Group homes are available in 3 bed, 10 bed, and 16 bed facilities.

Crisis & Acute Care is available at a 10-bed Crisis Residential Center, the 16-bed WellStar Acute Care facility in Huntsville and the 16-bed Reid House facility in Cullman. These facilities are staffed by WellStone clinical support personnel on a 24/7/365 basis to assist with the stabilization of behavioral health crisis conditions that require inpatient treatment. The typical length of stay at these facilities is from 14 to 30 days and WellStone partners with Huntsville Hospital for treatment at their inpatient unit if needed.
